WorkBC Employment Centres

WorkBC Employment Services Centres are located across the province and offer client-centred, integrated services and supports for people who are unemployed or underemployed. The purpose of the centres is to support British Columbians in getting - and keeping - a job as quickly as possible.

Job Search Resources

Each WorkBC Employment Services Centre has resources and tools available to support your job search including:

  • computer workstations
  • public telephones
  • fax machine
  • photocopy services

Personal Employment Planning

Staff at the centres can also help clients build their personal employment plan. This plan will identify employment goals, and will lay out the steps to help clients to get there.

Career Search and Types of Employment

As you're exploring and making decisions about your career direction, consider the evolving trends and work landscape in the occupations and industries that interest you. And when you're looking for work, consider expanding your focus beyond the job you want to get to the kind of work you want to do.

Workshops and Training

Each WorkBC Employment Services Centre holds regular workshops for people interested in finding out more about getting ready for work and finding a job.

For some people, depending on their needs and eligibility, short- or longer-term training may be needed to build the skills necessary for finding a job.

Specialized Services

WorkBC can provide specialized services for job seekers living in a remote area or facing barriers related to disability, language or culture.
