Join local BC author Anthony Nerada as he walks participants through dissecting their favourite songs in this interactive class on how music can help shape stories and tackle even the toughest of writer’s blocks.

You’ve heard the saying that a picture tells a thousand words. This workshop introduces you to the art of picture books, demonstrates the balance of arts and words, irony, and page turns. Then you will get a prompt to create your own drawing – one that does the heavy lifting of telling the story through image. Sharing is optional but encouraged.

You are a poet, even if you don’t know it! Explore different poetic forms, sample works from talented poets, and try your hand at creating your own poems in this hands-on, interactive workshop. Perfect for poets of all comfort and experience levels, sharing will be encouraged but never required.
