Be among the first kids ever to read new books! With Kids Read it First, you get to read and review Advance Reading Copies (ARCs) of books even before they hit the book store shelves.  

Our writing and book clubs meet in person at a branch, or virtually over Zoom.

Every June, National Indigenous History Month honours and celebrates the rich history, heritage, resilience and accomplishments of First Nations, Inuit and Métis peoples across Canada.

Every year, the month of June is recognized as National Indigenous History Month – a month dedicated to honouring, commemorating, and celebrating the history, experiences, and achievements of Indigenous people.

We welcome submissions from kids going into Grades 4 - 7 and living in Vancouver. Participants may submit up to one entry per category: art, poetry, and prose.
