Digital Futures Lab

This summer, delve into the world of digital futures through art, design, and hands-on experimentation.

In partnership with Or Gallery, the Night School for Data Fluencies is hosting a month-long pop-up lab at VPL. Join artists, designers, and researchers for interactive workshops and creative activities that tackle big questions in digital media:

• How does social media shape what we see and like?

• What happens when AI blurs the line between fact and fiction?

• How are communities pushing back against Big Tech?

Using critical thinking and creative tools, participants will explore the possibilities and pitfalls of emerging technologies—and learn how to imagine more just digital futures.

Presented in partnership with the Digital Democracies Institute at Simon Fraser University.
