Search Strategies
Searching the library catalogue by subject
Select Subject Browse from the drop down menu. Enter subject headings, such as:
Olympic Games - (ordinal : year : location) to find specific summer games
Olympic Winter Games - (ordinal : year) to find specific winter games
You may find it easier to search by Key Words in Subject. and use truncation, ie.: olympic* and buildings
For DVDs, use the Power Search function: in the Key Words in Subject box type Olympic* and select DVD in the Format box.
Searching the Library catalogue by author
Select Author Browse from the drop down menu, to find items produced by organizing committees, such as theose listed below, or books written by notable athletes.
