Follow VPL on Twitter!

Did you know that you could get quick, brief updates on Vancouver Public Library events, programs, and services through Twitter?

Twitter is a free social networking and microblogging service that allows users to send and read updates, which are text-based posts limited to 140 characters. Updates are delivered to the user's profile page, and are delivered to anyone who subscribes to them. 

To sign up for your own Twitter account, visit http://www.twitter.com. Once you've signed up, be sure to follow VPL by visiting our profile at http://www.twitter.com/VPL/ and clicking the Follow button at the top of the screen.

To keep up with our updates, you can visit our Twitter profile page, or you can use a variety of desktop- or web browser-based applications, such as TweetDeck, TwitterFox (a plug-in for the Firefox web browser), Twitterific (for the iPhone, iPod Touch and Mac OS X), or Twhirl.
