Vancouver Public Library Launches First Reel Teen Video Contest

For Immediate Release, July 1, 2010

(Vancouver, British Columbia) – Are you an aspiring director or looking to create the next YouTube sensation? Then this is the contest for you!  Create a video trailer to promote your favorite book and you could win some great prizes and a chance to compete with other Metro Vancouver winners for a grand prize worth $200!

Promote your favorite book in three minutes or less and post your video on YouTube. You can submit more than one video as long as the book is different each time.

Winners will be announced on August 20 and their videos will be featured on the Library’s website. Prizes will be awarded for first, second and third place.

The first place video will compete against other top entries from across Metro Vancouver for a grand prize with a $200 cash value.

The contest is open to Vancouver teens 12-19 years old. The contest runs from July 1- August 15.
