Central Library Book Drop Temporarily Closed

New Automated Materials Handling equipment is being installed at the Central Library so that the items you return will be checked in right at the book drop, meaning they can be sorted and reshelved faster.

While we are installing the new equipment, the book drop inside the Central Library will be closed for approximately 6 weeks until early June. Please return items directly to the service desk. The Hamilton Street Book drop is also open during this time. You may also return items to any VPL branch.

This new technology will allow VPL to reassign staff to other important services. Please speak with a staff member should you have any questions.
