Renewals

The Vancouver Public Library allows two (2) renewals on books, paperbacks, audio cassettes, videos, CDs, DVDs, CD-Roms, and group language learning sets. After that items must be returned.

No renewals are allowed on magazines, Fast Reads, Quick Views, or special loan material. Also, an item cannot be renewed if another patron has placed a request on it.

Overdue items can be renewed if you do not have more than $10.00 in fines or more than 10 items overdue.

You can renew library items online or by telephone. The renewal service is available 24 hours a day. However, if the item is due that day you must renew before 9:00pm to avoid overdue charges.

Please note: when you renew an item the extended time is calculated from the day of the renewal, not from the original due date.
