Christina de Castell, Manager

Christina is an experienced business and legal researcher who specializes in conducting background searches on companies and individuals, legal research, and technology subjects. She is an expert at using commercial databases, particularly LexisNexis, Quicklaw, FPInfomart and Factiva.

Prior to joining InfoAction, Christina worked at the BC Securities Commission where she conducted background research for investigations, litigation and policy development, and designed web-based information and educational materials for the securities industry.

Christina teaches a module on using commercial databases for Internet for Investigations, a course in BCIT's Forensic Investigations program. She is a regular speaker at UBC's School of Library and Information Studies and at library conferences.

In 2005-2006, Christina was President of the Special Libraries Association (SLA) Western Canada Chapter. She currently sits on the board of SLA's Business & Finance Division, and is Treasurer of the British Columbia Library Association.

Christina received her MLIS from UBC in 2001, and her BA (English) from UBC in 1996. She completed the Canadian Securities Course in 2002.
