This limited edition printing of Charles Dickens' A Christmas Carol is truly fine. The text is printed on Mohawk cream vellum paper; the tipped-in prints were printed on Rives Lightweight. All type was newly cast by Jim Rimmer at the Pie Tree Press typefoundry and the special three colour ornament is a stock Granjon piece that has been split into three colours and electroplated into matrices by Rimmer. The text type is Caslon 337 and the display type is a combination of Goudy Lombardic initials and Goudy Text. The book is bound in quarter black cloth with full colour lino cut prints signed by the illustrator and side-tipped into the pages. This copy is number 86 of 100.

In the introduction, Crispin Elsted writes, "Here we have a new edition of A Christmas Carol designed, typeset, illustrated, printed, bound and published by one man. That is a feat in itself (even several feats) and it should command our attention, for it gives us the rare opportunity to read a really unified treatment of the story."
