Writer in Residence

Acclaimed writer and performer Ivan E. Coyote is VPL's 2009 Writer-in-Residence.

Writer-in-Residence

Created in 2005, the VPL Writer-in-Residence Program promotes writing and reaches out to communities not typically exposed to Canadian literature. The writer will spend 75% of his or her time writing, while 25% of his or her time will be devoted to mentoring emerging writers, conducting workshops and participating in other activities to share their experience with the community.

The VPL Writer-in-Residence Program is made possible through the generous support of the Canada Council for the Arts and the Friends of the Vancouver Public Library.
