The Canadian Pacific Railway Collection, is a wonderful addition to the Vancouver Public Library's growing collection of digitized photographs. The VPL's Special Collections department began digitizing selected historical photographs in June 2000 with the Leonard Frank Photodigitization Project followed by: Mattie Gunterman: Camp Cook and Photographer; Vancouver's Golden Years: 1900-1910, Photographs by Philip Timms; British Columbia through the Camera Lens of Philip Timms; and the Artray Photograph Collection: Vignettes of Postwar Vancouver.
Inmagic DB/Textworks and Web Publisher software has been used to facilitate searching and displaying the scanned photographic records on the world wide web.
