As the holidays fast approach, why not let someone know that they inspired you to donate to the Vancouver Public Library Foundation.
A gift-in-honour of a special person in your life is also a gift to the community as the VPL Foundation supports Library programs, services and resources where they are most needed in our city and help children, families, seniors and people with visual and physical disabilities.
Programs and services the Foundation supports include:
- Mother Goose and Man in the Moon – early literacy programs for babies and toddlers and their parents and caregivers.
- Talking Books for people with visual disabilities
- A Historical Photograph Digitization project that makes historic Vancouver and BC images available for viewing and purchase online.
- The Carnegie Alley Health Fair that provides much-needed health information and services to Downtown Eastside residents during a day-long fair around the Carnegie Centre.
With every gift-in-honour, the VPL Foundation will send a letter to your honouree letting them know that they inspired a special donation to the Library. Please send your gifts-in-honour request to the VPL Foundation by December 12 in order for the recipient to receive their letter during the holiday season.
When you give to the VPL Foundation, your honouree will experience the joy of knowing they inspired a gift to the Library and you will get a tax receipt!
You can make a gift-in-honour to VPL Foundation online, by calling 604-331-4092 or by sending a cheque to VPL Foundation, 350 West Georgia Street, Vancouver, BC, V6B 6B1. Please be sure to include your address as well as your honouree’s address.
Happy holidays from the Vancouver Public Library Foundation!
