Newspapers

Newspapers are a very useful source of information for genealogists.

Newspapers may contain stories, advertisements and other items related to your family history or provide useful background information. Birth, marriage and death announcements often include information about members of immediate and extended families as well as other clues.

Chinese-Canadian researchers should consider consulting both "mainstream" and Chinese newspapers.
